The Dance

Hello special people! I'm Tara, I'm twenty and I welcome you to this space of mine.

Things you should know:

My name doesn't rhyme with Sarah

I'm from Australia

I'm a fan of that Jesus guy

I'm also a fan of ice cream

And most of the mainstream fandoms here

I’m inviting people to my birthday on facebook and it is the most depressing thing. I see a name of a person I want to be there, almost click on them, and then have to scroll past because they live in other countries or states and there is no way they could get here. Yet another reminder that some of my best friends can’t share those kind of memories with me.

It’s okay though, I have other memories with them (well, most of them.) Fantastic memories that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Some would say they’re memories that are much more interesting than just a gathering at my house.

There is always going to be a part of me that wishes that I could have those plain, every day memories with them as well though. That they could be a part of my life for more than a few days a year, that we had the option to spontaneously meet up for coffee or see a movie.

I should really stop complaining though because I’m privileged to know such awesome people at all - even if it is hard sometimes.
